Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Bring Back Backyard Memories

Bring Back Backyard Memories

Here at Sport Court of Southern California our mission is to bring safety and fun to backyards. Living in the digital age, our kids are more prone to pick up the remote and game controller than to get outside and play!

That’s why we say get off of your backside and get into the backyard!

Our challenge to bring fitness and wellness to our youth is no small task, but must be done. With obesity rates and mental health issues arising at younger ages our only way to combat both is to demand healthier lifestyles.

Safety: Do you know where your kids are?

Having the “ultimate” backyard is only a dent in the benefits for having a backyard court. Many of our customers report back to us that “their house is the house that all the kids want to be at!”

Fitness & Fun: Healthy Lifestyles are Fun!

Setting a schedule and family routine is beneficial for running a smooth household. Bringing fitness and fun into a normal routine will teach children and adults the importance for a healthy lifestyle. Once a routine is made, especially for young children, it will set standards and have lasting effects!

Sport Court - 40 Year Anniversary

1974. Nixon reigns, Hank Aaron obliterates the most sacred of baseball records, and Cher divorces Sonny. Tumultuous times, indeed. We were busy ourselves in our little corner of the world, changing the way the families played together in their very own backyards. That was no small feat unto itself. Now here we are forty years later, offering indoor and outdoor surfacing for all sports!

Sport Court of Southern Califonia's Top 5 Projects of 2013!

Top 5 Commercial Projects of the Year:

Campbell Hall by P. Tepley

"Campbell Hall was a wonderful customer to work with they have really great people! This was one of our first uses of pervious concrete matched with PowerGame which is an ideal situation.  Everything that was designed on this project had the environment in mind to allow for water percolation instead of run off. This facility will be used for the  junior varsity and student activities the playground will be used  by the kindergarten program." -Tepley

Jamboree Center by D. Hendrickson

"It is rare that a high rise office complex will proved an amenity like a large basketball and putting green for Their tenants. The Irvine company provided a great service that's for the business community and chose the best products- Sport Court PowerGame!"-Hendrickson

Travis Mathew by K. Scholey

“I’m really proud of this project because it not only was my first maple select project, but it came out better than I could have ever imagined. Ultimately my goal is to always have a happy client—I really felt like the TM team and I were on the same page the whole time,”
- Scholey

Brentwood School by S. Marsh

"They really didn't like the competitor ties that were there before. One of the students actually initialed the project by submitting a request to get rid of the abrasive tile that was there before. Once we showed them options, they fell in love with Sport Courts Maple Select tile and were very anxious to install. This was the first fencing piste court that we have installed at a school!" -Marsh

Qualcomm by J. Lambing

"Qualcomm chose Sport Court's PowerGame surface over the hard acrylic alternative for their employees. Every aspect of the project was customized -from the fencing, retractable gates, state-of-the-art locking system, logos! As the largest employer in San Diego County,  Qualcomm, provides the best for their corporate wellness program."-Hendrickson

Cheers to new projects and a Happy 2014!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN FROM SPORT COURT OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!

Throwback to the Turley Family's 20 Year Old Sport Court Game Court!

Meet the Turley Family! Nineteen years ago, they purchased a backyard court which they still own today!

Having five children and being a very sports minded family, they wanted to find a really good quality court that would last for a years to come. After meeting with Sport Court owner, Dale Hendrickson, who explained the whole process and designed the perfect set up for their family.

Looking back, Doug Turley remarks on the memories as a father with his kids and enjoying different sports on the court. His son, Connor reflects that having the court as a kid really helped his development as an athlete as well as bonding with his four other siblings. One of his fondest memories was waking up Christmas morning and running out side to see their brand new Sport Court. "It's definitely helped me in my career, but also it's just been great for the whole family!"

Doug goes on to comment that despite the courts age, "it still has the same resiliency and its still what it was almost nineteen years ago...it's amazing!"

"We found that Sport Court was really what we wanted and its turned out to be exactly what we wanted it to be!'
